Yesterday I needed to be pinched. It was absolutely surreal. I was surrounded by a sea of Carolina blue cap and gowns, listened to a speech by Mayor Bloomberg, and ended the ceremony by turning my tassel and officially becoming an alum of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
There were
a lot of good-byes. Some see-you-laters. Some thank-goodness-I'll-see-you-this-summers.

After graduation, we went to my favorite Chapel Hill restaurant for lunch, Top of the Hill.
Then we drove out to Maple View Farms for some delicious homemade ice cream and took family graduation pictures.

One of my favorite moments of yesterday was my dad finally going to the lighter shade of blue for my graduation. He and my mom are dook fans and I gave him this shirt my Freshman year as a joke. He wore it proudly for his daughter.

Carolina will always be a life-changing experience. Excited for the next chapter.
In the words of my dad, "Some graduates graduate Magnum Cum Laude. Some Summa Cum Laude. But YOU, you graduated Thank You Laude."
Happy Belated Mother's Day to just some of the mothers in my life: Nana, Mom, Heather, and Aunt Donna!
Off to the beach to relax and enjoy this week.
