Blank Sheet of Paper

Have you heard the Tim McGraw song, "Blank Sheet of Paper"? It wasn't one of his Top 40 hits, but it was one of my favorites. The lyrics tell the story about a guy writing an apology letter to his girlfriend, however the sheet remains blank.

"He's been looking down at me
It seems like forever
He takes the top on and off his pen
It's like he can't decide
What he wants to say
If he'd just tell the truth
I'd be on my way

But he just stares at me

And I just stare at him
He doesn't know where to start
To say he doesn't want it to end
Now its one hour later
And I'm still a blank sheet of paper"

And that's what writing this post has been like.

My creativity has left the building for the week.

Until it returns, I have put a combination of my favorite photos and musical discoveries from the week.

Let's start with my favorite song for the week: "Five Years Time", Noah & the Whale

"Cough Syrup", Young the Giant

 "Ho Hey", The Lumineers

(An oldie but goodie) "Sweet Disposition", The Temper Trap

Come back creativity.

Be back soon.

Always,
Carrie

    1. Ashley! I am in Chapel Hill looking for a job (just graduated), but I was in Kinston last night! I've started doing a lot of reading on photography lately and just purchased a DSLR camera in December. Learning how to do portraits/candids of people-- let me know if you know anyone I can talk to about maybe shadowing one day.
