From the Highest Seat on the Ferris Wheel I Can See...

To me, not knowing what to expect is an amazing feeling. Uncertainty can lead to the most valuable experiences in life. Like not knowing what to expect when you go to college as a freshman or not knowing what your first blind date is going to end like, our lives are filled with the utmost extraordinary uncertainty.

Where will I be after I graduate? Where will I be in ten years? Will I get married?

I don’t know…And I’m starting to be okay with it.

Coney Island was a less-serious form of not knowing what to expect.

And I’ve constantly had that feeling this summer that instantly puts me on a high—and I stand snapping pictures like this is the last trip I’ll ever take in my life.

But maybe it is my last trip. You never know.

....New York is expensive.

But back to uncertainty. It is beautiful because…

Sometimes you realize that you never want to have that experience again.

Or sometimes you figure out that maybe heights aren’t your thing.

Sometimes you might find a beautiful sky awaits you with possibilities despite the rain...

Sometimes you find something yummy in life.

You might find a treasure.

Sometimes you might win big.

Sometimes you might meet someone who knows something you don’t or who has been places you haven’t been.

But… would you figure out any of these things if you didn’t try first?

There’s a big world out there, filled with treasures in the form of people, places, experiences, and even…ferris wheels.

“Uncertainty and mystery are energies of life. Don't
let them scare you unduly, for they keep boredom
at bay and spark creativity.”
Sure it's true, you may not have a positive experience everytime, but life's full of lessons unlearned and uncertainties. Go for it. Don't hold back.

Peace. Love. Coney Island.
