Today a lady walked into Haagen Dazs and she informed she was a palm reader and that I had a lot of positive energy coming from a man at home whose name started with a J. She said, "You miss this man very much and you wish you could be there with him."
Immediately, tears welled up in my eyes.
"That's true!" I said ecstatically. She continued to read my palm further and was right about a lot things, but for the most part, I was doubting her. Her words were drowned out by kid upon kids screaming about their joys of ice cream. She scribbled her number on a slip of paper and told me to come in for further reading. Although I never believe in these silly games, she was right about be missing my family at home.
Today is Father's Day. Yesterday was my parent's 34th anniversary.
Both of which I missed because I'm in New York. I'll have to admit, today has been not so fun-n-games and while I'm usually the most independent person and I'm not one to get home sick often, it doesn't change the fact that I want to be home today. I am going home on July 30th, so relatively soon!
So today's post is for my parents. Happy Father's Day, Dad! I love you!
And congratulations to my parents on 34 years of marriage... I hope you have 34+ more!!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
